Gun Control

by Scott Mitchell
Long Beach Lifeguard

We had a call that we responded to with the coroner.  It was a man who had blown his brains out on his boat.  Literally, he blew his brains all over.  He had shot himself in the front cabin of his boat and the brains had gone all over the place.

The guy was a pack rat.  He had tons of stuff he collected all over the front cabin.  So as we were trying to pull him out, his arms were getting stuck on everything.  He was a huge guy, probably weighing 275 pounds.  The coroner had hog tied his legs and took me and a couple other guys to try and pull this guy out.

Strange thing about this guy was that he had killed an intruder in his apartment a few years prior.  So he had decided to come live on his boat ever since.  When the investigators went into his apartment he had months and months of bills piled up.  And he had hundreds of guns.

So when his brother came out to get his belongings he got all these guns.  Including the one he had blows his head off with.
